(More customer reviews)If you're expecting the board that was favorably reviewed in "Cook's Illustrated" magazine you are in for a disappointment. This is NOT a composite core, wood-encased board as described but instead a conventional solid wood cutting board.The seller confirmed from the UPC number that this is what they ship for this item -- not something sent by mistake -- and said they would send a return authorization number by e-mail, which I never received. I didn't pursue it since the shipping cost for such a large item is significant compared to the cost of the item itself, so I'll probably just give it away or toss it out. I didn't try it so I have no opinion on how well it works such as it is.
